What's included with the mount?

Why do I need a converter for the Starlink Mini?
The Mini takes 12–48V, so 12V is technically in range — the catch is a real 12V system rarely holds a clean 12V. Battery sag under load and voltage drop over the long 15m cable pull it under the minimum, and the dish briefly draws around 60W on startup while it finds satellites. Dip below what it needs and you get dropouts, an unstable connection, or it won't power on — usually right when you've parked up for the night. A step-up converter lifts your supply to a steady 30V, giving plenty of headroom so it powers up and holds a solid connection, parked or moving, even on long cable runs. Grab the Mount + Booster kit and the 30V booster's already in the box.
Will it hold at highway speed and on corrugated roads?
Yes — the heavy-duty magnets and low-profile aluminium base sit flat with no wobble or rattle, built for highway speeds and corrugations. Just mount it flat with all four magnetic feet in full contact with the roof — that's what gives you the full hold. On a curved or uneven surface where the feet can't all sit flush, the grip is reduced, so check the fit before you drive off.
Will it stick to my roof?
The magnets hold on steel only. If your roof is fibreglass, aluminium or composite, test with a fridge magnet first — if it doesn't stick, use our adhesive mounting discs or the roof rack feet add-on instead.
What are the magnetic feet dimensions?
Outside of the magnets, the base measures 297mm side-to-side and 265mm front-to-back — handy for checking it'll sit on the flat area of your roof.
Does it come with a cover?
Yes — every mount includes the protective top cover. It's plastic, about 3.5mm thick, and doesn't affect the Starlink signal.
Will it fit my roof rack or ARB Baserack?
The roof rack feet add-on bolts to most crossbars. On some racks (like the ARB Baserack) spacing can be tight — send us your rack model and we'll help, or make up brackets to suit.
Can I fit the remote on/off switch under the mount?
Yes — the VANKOR remote switch fits underneath, so you can power the dish on and off from inside.
