VANKOR started the way most good ideas do — from a real problem no one was solving properly.
We were travelling with our family. Long drives across regional highways. Caravan parks in small towns. Filling tanks from taps we'd never seen before and wondering what was actually flowing through our system. Over time, that uncertainty adds up.
We reached a point where "probably safe" wasn't good enough. Not for drinking. Not for cooking. Not for our kids. So we built a water filtration system designed specifically for caravan conditions — dust, vibration, heat, and inconsistent water sources. Every component has a job. Every layer exists for a reason.
Then came the connectivity problem. Out in remote Australia, no reception meant no way to contact family, no emergency access, no way to work from the road. When we set up Starlink Mini on our caravan, everything changed. But the mounting options and power solutions available were rubbish — flimsy plastic, unreliable power, nothing built for real conditions.
So we built those too.
