Independently lab-tested to eliminate over 99.99% of E. coli — at full flow.
The VANKOR UV-C LED Water Steriliser fits inline with your caravan or camper water system and makes unknown water safe to drink. Water passes through the UV-C chamber and comes out sterilised — no chemicals, no cartridges, no change to the taste.
UV-C light knocks out the bacteria, viruses and protozoa that filters can't catch — including Giardia and Cryptosporidium. Our unit was independently lab-tested and eliminated more than 99.99% of E. coli at 8 litres per minute, so you get sterilised water on demand, not a trickle.
Why it beats a standard UV unit
- 10,000-hour LED life — over 3× the life of a typical 3,000-hour UV unit. Years of touring before it needs replacing.
- Instant-on UV-C LED — no warm-up, no mercury, no bulbs to replace, no consumables.
- Low-draw 12V — built for solar and battery setups, not a kitchen. Runs straight off your system.
- No pressure drop — full flow to 8 L/min, so your tap doesn't slow down.
Run it as a two-stage system
UV-C needs clear water to work — sediment and cloudiness block the light and let bugs slip through. Run the VANKOR Pro Flow 12 carbon filter first to strip out sediment, chlorine and chemicals, then the UV-C steriliser kills what's left. Filter, then sterilise — clean and safe, every fill.
Where it earns its keep
Bore water, creek and river fills, rainwater tanks, free camping — anywhere the water source is unknown. Suits caravans, campers, 4WDs and boats.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the filter as well as the steriliser?
For untested water, yes. The Pro Flow 12 filter removes sediment, chlorine and chemicals; the UV-C steriliser kills bacteria, viruses and parasites. UV also needs clear water to work, so the filter goes first. Filling from town water only? The filter alone is plenty. Drawing from tanks, bores or creeks? Add the UV-C.
Does it kill Giardia and Cryptosporidium?
Yes — UV-C light inactivates protozoa like Giardia and Cryptosporidium, along with bacteria and viruses, by scrambling their DNA so they can't reproduce. Our unit is independently lab-tested to eliminate over 99.99% of E. coli.
Will it slow my water down?
No — there's no pressure drop and it's rated to a full 8 litres per minute. Safe water on demand.
How long does the UV LED last?
10,000 hours — over three times the life of a typical 3,000-hour UV unit. No warm-up, no bulbs to replace, and unlike old mercury lamps it doesn't mind being switched on and off.
Does it use chemicals or replacement cartridges?
Neither. UV-C is chemical-free and there are no cartridges or consumables — just an occasional wipe-down.
Can I run it off 12V and solar?
Yes. It's low-draw and built for caravan, camper and off-grid battery and solar setups.
