A simple 1m adapter cable that connects a 12V cigarette lighter socket to a 50A Anderson plug. No converter, no electronics — a direct connection.

Plug it into your vehicle's cigarette socket and run power to any Anderson-equipped gear: your Starlink Mini booster, a 12V fridge, an air compressor or camp lights. Ideal where you want power without hardwiring anything permanently.

This is an adapter, not a booster. It passes 12V straight through — it does not step voltage up. If your Starlink Mini is dropping out on 12V, you need the VANKOR Booster; this cable is how you run that booster from a cigarette socket instead of wiring it to the battery.

Current is limited by your vehicle's socket, not the cable. Most cigarette sockets are fused at 10–15A. Check yours before running high-draw gear like a compressor.

Materials & Construction

50A Anderson connector at one end, fused cigarette lighter plug at the other. Both moulded and strain-relieved so the cable takes the load rather than the terminals.

Installation & Maintenance

There's no installation. Click the Anderson into your device, push the cigarette plug into the socket, done.

Before first use, check the fuse rating on your vehicle's cigarette socket circuit — it's usually printed in the fuse box or listed in the owner's manual. That rating, not the cable, sets what you can safely run.

Keep the Anderson contacts clean and dry. If they get dusty, a quick blast of compressed air is enough. Don't leave the cable plugged in and dangling while driving — unplug it and stow it so the connector isn't taking load.

Will this run my Starlink Mini on its own?

No — and this is the important one. This is a passive adapter cable. It passes 12V straight through and does not raise voltage.

The Starlink Mini needs a steady 30V to run reliably. To power one you need the VANKOR Booster as well. This cable is how you run that booster from your cigarette socket instead of hardwiring it to the battery.

What can I actually run off it?

Anything with a 50A Anderson plug — a booster, camp lights, a portable fridge, a battery charger.

The limit isn't the cable, it's your vehicle's socket. Most cigarette sockets are fused at 10–15A, which is roughly 120–180W at 12V. That's plenty for a booster or lights. An air compressor or a large fridge on startup can exceed it and pop the fuse — check your fuse rating first.

Will it fit my Anderson plug?

It's a standard 50A Anderson SB50 in grey housing — the common one on caravans and 4WDs.

Anderson housings are colour-keyed and only mate with the same colour. If your existing plug is red, blue or black, it won't connect to this one.

Can I leave it plugged in while I drive?

Yes, but stow it properly. Don't leave the cable hanging off the socket with a connector swinging on the end — that puts load on the plug and the socket over corrugations. Route it or unplug it.
