Your Starlink Mini takes 12-48V, so a 12V system looks like it should be fine. It isn't.
A real 12V system doesn't stay at 12V. The battery sags under load. You lose more voltage over Starlink's 15-metre cable. And the dish grabs around 60W on startup while it hunts for satellites — the moment it's hungriest is the moment your voltage is lowest. Dip under the minimum and you get dropouts, an unstable connection, or it won't power on at all. Usually the night you've parked up somewhere good.
