Product Details

A DC-to-DC booster for the Starlink Mini with a female Starlink connector on the output and a 50A Anderson plug on the input.

The Mini accepts 12–48V, so a 12V system looks like it should be fine. It isn't — not reliably. Battery voltage sags under load, shifts with charge state, and drops below what the Mini needs to hold a connection. You get random disconnects, failed boots, and a night spent troubleshooting instead of watching something.

This lifts your 12V or 24V supply to a stable, regulated 30V. Direct DC to DC — no inverter, nothing converting up to 240V and back down again. What makes this version different: the female connector accepts the Starlink Mini plug directly, so the booster sits inline between the dish and the router rather than at the dish itself. That's what you want for a permanent caravan install, a passthrough setup, or anywhere the booster needs to live mid-cable behind a panel.

Fits the Starlink Mini only. Not compatible with Standard or High-Performance dishes.

Materials & Construction

Aluminium heatsink housing — sheds heat under continuous load and stands up to vibration and rough roads.

96% conversion efficiency, so very little of your battery goes to waste as heat.

Input: 50A Anderson plug on 1m of cable.
Output: female Starlink Mini connector on 30cm of cable.

Inline fuse pre-installed on the input wiring. Over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit protection built in.

Installation & Maintenance

No wiring and no tools. Click the Anderson into your battery system, plug your Starlink Mini cable into the female connector, and you're running.

The 30cm output and 1m input are sized for inline mounting — the booster sits in the cable run rather than at the dish. Mount it somewhere with airflow. The aluminium housing sheds heat by design, so don't bury it in insulation or seal it inside a tight cavity.

Check the inline fuse if it stops passing power — that's the first thing to look at before assuming the unit has failed.

No servicing otherwise. Keep the Anderson contacts clean and dry.

Will this run my Starlink Mini off a 12V battery?

Yes — that's the whole job. It lifts your 12V or 24V battery to a steady, regulated 30V so the Mini runs directly off DC. No inverter, no 240V.

How is this different from your other boosters?

The connector on the output end, and where it sits in the run.

This version has a female Starlink connector, so your Mini cable plugs straight into it and the booster lives inline, mid-cable. That's what you want for a permanent caravan install or a passthrough setup where the booster sits behind a panel.

The Anderson and cigarette-plug versions are set up to power the Mini at the dish end instead. Same 30V output, different install.

Do I still need the Starlink power supply?

No. The female connector takes the Starlink Mini plug directly, so this runs the dish off your battery in place of the mains power supply. No 240V, no inverter, no brick sitting in a cupboard.

Does it work on 24V truck systems?

Yes. It takes both 12V and 24V input. Most boosters on the market are 12V only — if the spec says 9–16V it won't run a 24V system. This one handles both.

Will it fit my Anderson plug?

The input is a standard 50A Anderson SB50 on 1m of cable — the common grey one on caravans and 4WDs.

Anderson housings are colour-keyed and only mate with the same colour, so if your existing plug is red, blue or black it won't connect to this one.
