The VANKOR UV-C LED Water Steriliser adds a second layer of protection to your caravan water system. Installed inline after your sediment and carbon filters, it uses UV-C LED light to destroy bacteria, viruses and protozoa — no chemicals, no taste change, no bulbs to replace. Independently lab-tested to eliminate over 99.99% of E. coli at 8 L/min. Runs on 12V or 24V with minimal draw, handles flow up to 8 litres per minute, and fires instantly with zero warm-up.

Materials & Construction

Built around a stainless steel reaction chamber with UV-C LED technology — no mercury, no glass bulbs. The LED is rated for 10,000 hours, over 3× the life of a typical UV lamp. Compact inline body with 12mm push-fit connections, built to handle the vibration and movement of mobile setups.

Install inline after your sediment and carbon filters using the included 12mm push fittings. For a 12V system, run it through the converter; for 24V, plug straight into the unit. Two screw-in wall clips hold it in place — add cable ties around the clips for extra security.

No warm-up: the UV-C LEDs fire the moment water flows. Maintenance is minimal — no bulbs, no mercury — just keep pre-filtration in place so the chamber stays clear. Rated for 10,000 hours of service.

Do I need the filter as well as the steriliser?

For untested water, yes. The Pro Flow 12 filter removes sediment, chlorine and chemicals; the UV-C steriliser kills bacteria, viruses and parasites. UV needs clear water to work, so the filter goes first. On town water only? The filter alone is plenty. Drawing from tanks, bores or creeks? Add the UV-C.

Does it kill Giardia and Cryptosporidium?

Yes — UV-C inactivates protozoa like Giardia and Cryptosporidium, plus bacteria and viruses, by scrambling their DNA so they can't reproduce. Our unit is independently lab-tested to eliminate over 99.99% of E. coli.

Will it slow my water down?

No — there's no pressure drop and it's rated to a full 8 litres per minute. Safe water on demand.

How long does the UV LED last?
