Everything you need to mount your Starlink Mini and run it off your battery — in one kit.

No drilling. No brackets. No inverter. The VANKOR Magnetic Mount locks your Starlink Mini to any steel roof in under 60 seconds, and the included booster powers it straight off your caravan or 4WD battery through an Anderson plug.

What's in the kit:

  • VANKOR Magnetic Roof Mount — heavy-duty magnets and a low-profile aluminium base that sits flat with no wobble or rattle. Holds at highway speed and over corrugations, off in seconds when you're done.
  • VANKOR Starlink Mini Booster — a DC-to-DC step-up converter that lifts your battery to the steady 30V the Mini needs, at up to 3.5A (105W). Real headroom over the dish's ~60W startup spike, so it powers up and stays connected even on long cable runs. Runs on 12V AND 24V — most boosters are 12V only. IP68 waterproof and fused.
  • Anderson Plug — plug straight into your auxiliary battery system, and you're online.

Built for steel roofs. Fibreglass, aluminium or composite roof? Add the mounting discs or roof rack feet. Designed and tested in Australia. Free shipping on orders over $100 Australia-wide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need the booster?
The Mini takes 12–48V, so a 12V system looks like it should be fine. It isn't. A real 12V system doesn't stay at 12V — the battery sags under load, you lose more voltage over Starlink's 15m cable, and the dish grabs around 60W on startup while it hunts for satellites. Dip under the minimum and you get dropouts, an unstable connection, or it won't power on at all. The booster lifts your supply to a steady 30V so it powers up and holds, parked or moving. This kit includes it, ready to plug in.

Will it work on a 24V system?
Yes. The VANKOR booster takes 12V and 24V. Most boosters on the market are 12V only — check the input range before you buy one elsewhere.

Will it stick to my roof?
The magnets hold on steel only. If your roof is fibreglass, aluminium or composite, test with a fridge magnet first — if it doesn't stick, use our adhesive mounting discs or the roof rack feet add-on instead.

Will it hold at highway speed and on corrugated roads?
Yes — the heavy-duty magnets and low-profile aluminium base sit flat with no wobble or rattle, built for highway speeds and corrugations. Mount it flat with all four magnetic feet in full contact with the roof — that's what gives you the full hold. On a curved or uneven surface where the feet can't all sit flush, the grip is reduced, so check the fit before you drive off.

Does it come with a cover?
Yes — the mount includes the protective top cover. It's plastic, about 3.5mm thick, and doesn't affect the Starlink signal.
