Convert your Vankor mount to suction. Or grip where magnets can't.
Twin industrial octagonal suction cups that bolt straight onto your Vankor Starlink Mini alloy base. Lock your dish to smooth surfaces magnets won't touch — fibreglass canopies, painted roofs, ute tubs, boats, glass.
Already running a Vankor Magnetic Mount? This is the add-on that lets you mount on non-steel surfaces. Same base — just swap the feet.
The 6" cups are dual-stage. A second suction cup sits inside each main cup. Outer rim seals, inner cup engages a second independent seal. Two seals per cup. Four seals total.
Key Features
- 6" dual-stage cups — two independent seals per cup, built for a non-steel roof.
- 4.5" single-stage option — tighter footprint for smaller surfaces.
- Octagonal industrial cups — thicker rubber, deeper dome, more surface area than standard round cups
- Bolts to your existing Vankor base — no new base needed
- No drilling. No permanent mount.
- Works where magnets don't — fibreglass, glass, painted metal, smooth ABS, composite
- Safety indicator — red line disappears when suction is safe
Why the 6" Dual-Stage Is the One to Get
Most suction mounts rely on a single seal. Hit a pothole, lose the seal, lose your Starlink. The 6" cups have a second suction cup inside the first. Pump the main cup — it seals. The inner cup then engages a second seal against the surface. That's four separate seals holding your dish, not two. On corrugated roads, that redundancy is the difference between getting to camp with a working dish and stopping on the track to pick it up.
Who It's For
- 4WDers with fibreglass canopies or aluminium roofs
- Caravans and motorhomes
- Boats (deck mounting)
- Anyone without a steel roof
- Anyone who's had cheap suction cups fail on them
What's in the Box
4.5" Single-Stage Kit: 2× 4.5" octagonal suction cups with pump lock + mounting hardware
6" Dual-Stage Kit: 2× 6" octagonal cups with inner secondary suction cup (dual-stage) + mounting hardware
Suits the Vankor Starlink Mini aluminium base. This is an add-on, not a standalone mount — you'll need a Vankor base.
FAQ
What's the difference between the 4.5" and 6" kits? The 4.5" uses single-stage suction — strong, but one seal per cup. The 6" adds an inner secondary cup inside each outer cup, giving two independent seals per cup. Driving on anything rough, towing, or mounting on a boat — get the 6".
Will it stick to my caravan roof? If the surface is smooth fibreglass, painted metal, or glass — yes. Textured, raw, or porous surfaces won't hold any suction mount properly.
Can I use it while driving? Yes. Check the suction indicator before every trip. The 6" Dual-Stage is the safer choice for anything other than sealed roads.
Which one should I get? Most buyers — the 6" Dual-Stage. Get the 4.5" only if you have a surface too small for the 6" cups.
